Creating a smooth and visually appealing animation for a hamburger menu can be surprisingly complex. The challenge lies in choosing the right technique to achieve both fluid movement and precise graphic style. Recently, I’ve been experimenting with bone-driven animation to create an organic "worm" bend effect for the hamburger icon. While this method offers natural, systemic motion, I’m reconsidering if it’s the best fit for the final design. This post explores the pros and cons of bone-driven deformation versus manual path manipulation to help clarify which approach might work better for a flexible hamburger menu.
