Creating animations that feel alive can be a challenge, especially when working with 2D designs. Recently, I explored the bones feature in Rive to rig a simple 2D word, and the results were surprisingly dynamic. This post shares the process, insights, and practical tips for anyone interested in character rigging or 2D animation using Rive.

What Are Bones in Rive?

Bones in Rive act like a skeleton for your artwork. They allow you to create a structure that controls how different parts move and bend. Instead of animating each piece individually, bones let you animate groups of shapes smoothly and naturally. This technique is especially useful for characters, objects, or even text that needs fluid motion.
