Step. add a MoText object then change the cap to have a bevel of 7cm, then change the font as you like, after this you need to go into the caps and change them so that you can change the cap type to regular grid and then change the size of the regular grid to 7cm go into object tab turn the intermediate points to subdivided, this changes the subdivisions on the whole object, change the angle to 90 degrees, this is the angle at which a new subdivision is made, change the max length to 7cm. increase the depth to about 60 then change the subdivision to 7cm(this is so that the sequins you will add can fit side by side because you will make the 7cm too, if you change this number change the other numbers accordingly, like maximum length and so on)

make a sequin with a cube, make this 7x7 in the object tab XYZ = x and y then in Z 0.1 or 2. then change the orientation so that it along the face of the caps, also ad a 0.1cm fillet to the sequin and change the subdivision to 1cm. Add a cloner the change this to object mode, then you will need to add a connect object to the MoText a the cap and the main object are not connected and to put the text into the object field of the cloner it needs to be one shape, add this connect to the object field. then go into the cloner and the transform tab option, change the Z axis in the position 0.5 to add a bit of randomness so the sequin does not intersect with others. In the distribution (in the object tab of the cloner) switch the mode to polygon centre, you can scroll through different options but this one fits the best.
