Steps. Add a primitive object in this I added a pill. Then add it to an atom array fiddle with the settings to bring the spheres and the connecting geometry down to thin lines. After that add luminance material to the Atom array, duplicate the primitive you have chosen and then add another material to this: taking off all the checkboxes in the material so effectively you have a black material, inside your atom array shape. Then add a disc reduce it to about 2cm, need to make lots of these so add it to a cloner to (the first primitive), you need to make them orbit the 1st primitive, so change the cloner to object mode then add the disc into the selection field then the disc will surround it, you need to displace these discs so add a random effector to the cloner change the Position Rotation and Uniform Scale of the disc to make this orbit happen.
Duplicate the cloner again, and this time make the discs larger and more varied. Think about composition so bring the closer to the camera, Should add a camera. What's important in the camera setting is the focus distance, it's in the Object tab, take the arrow next to the field and click the 1st primitive the camera will not be orientated onto focus on the object. Change the Focal length to 250?(why) Then go to the Physical tab and reduce the F-stop to 0.05, which is usually not possible for lenses but you need to increase the blur, which if you render you can start to see the effect. Also in the Physical tab is the chromatic aberration, set this to 100 percent. then the light will start to split. there are also other settings. which I want to try such as vignetting etc. Change the renderer to physical and go to the menu check on the depth of field, then also change the Sampling Quality to Medium which makes it look better.
