The Full Story
I was tasked with creating a full set of thematic icons to represent the course syllabus. The primary goal was to translate complex, technical concepts into a clear, engaging, and cohesive visual language that would guide students through their learning journey.
The main challenge was to design icons for abstract concepts like "Rive's Mental Model" or "The State Machine." The icons couldn't just be literal; they needed to conceptually represent each stage of the learning process, from initial discovery to final implementation, while maintaining a consistent and appealing style.

The Solution: A Narrative-Driven Icon System
My approach was to treat the icon set as a form of visual storytelling. Each icon is designed to be a chapter in the student's journey, building upon the last to create a clear path to mastery. I focused on a clean, unified aesthetic that would feel at home within a modern educational platform, ensuring the visuals enhanced the learning experience rather than distracting from it.
